A man charged with multiple child pornography offences in connection to a joint investigation has appeared in court.
The 35-year-old, who can’t be named due to a publication ban, was in Regina today (Thurs), and was remanded in custody for next Thursday (July 11) in the Queen City.
His co-accused, an unidentified 40-year-old man, is also in custody and will be in Red Deer Provincial Court July 17.
On June 24th, the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation Unit received a tip alleging two men accessing and sharing child porn, and discussing on a social media app sexually assaulting children.
Two days later, the Saskatchewan and Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Units conducted searches in Rocanville and Red Deer, respectively, and seized numerous electronics, rescued two children in both prairie provinces and made two arrests.
