A 13-year-old boy has a story for his future grandchildren. He got locked inside a 3-by-4 foot gun safe at Peavey Mart in Saskatoon for an hour and 20 minutes. Fire officials got the call just before 1:30 Monday afternoon when attempts to open the safe with the code didn’t work. Before trying to grind the door off, the crew tried the code one more time and it worked. Officials don’t know how he got locked inside such a small space.
