Recent Rain Gives Boost to Saskatchewan Farmers

The ingredients are all there for good crop development in the province.

Saskatchewan Agriculture crop specialist Cory Jacob says warm temperatures and rain moved crops forward in the province last week.

Rain and moisture and warm weather are definitely the formula for crop advancement. Crops are still kinda behind to normal in their development but they are still coming along.” said Jacob.

Rainfall last week ranged from trace amounts to 92 mm in the Kelliher area. The Grenfell area reported up to 80 mm of rain.
