More Wildfire Evacuees Expected to Arrive in Regina and Saskatoon in the Next Two Days

Saskatchewan continues to do its part in bringing in wildfire evacuees from northwestern Ontario.
It was confirmed about 300 arrived in Regina yesterday (Thurs) and an additional 300 is expected to land in the Queen City today (Fri).
Saskatoon is expected to receive 200 evacuees tomorrow (Sat) and Prince Albert could also be taking in people if both Regina and Saskatoon are at full capacity.
Ontario’s Government told Saskatchewan to be ready to bring in between 2-thousand and 3-thousand evacuees.
Saskatchewan Fire Commissioner Duane McKay says when evacuees will return home will all depend on the fire situation.
