Two Men Charged in Connection to Punnichy-Area Crime Spree Make Court Appearances

Two of four people charged, following a violent crime spree in the Punnichy area in May, remain in custody, after appearing in Regina Provincial Court this week.
26-year-old Derek Pasap faces a total of 20 charges, including one count of Attempted Murder, and his next appearance is set for Thursday (25th), while 26-year-old Donnelly Nanquetung, who faces numerous charges, including five counts of Attempted Murder, will return to court on August 12th.
On May 22nd, police say a man was struck by a vehicle, then shot, on the Muskowekwan First Nation.
Then, on May 23rd, an altercation on the Piapot First Nation led to one victim allegedly being struck with a machete, and the other being chased to the Muscowpetung First Nation.
