Andrew Scheer Under Fire Over The Food Guide

Nutritional experts are slamming Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer after he vowed to review the new Canada Food Guide if he wins the fall federal election. He says his party wants to ensure the guide reflects what “science tells us.” But the Canadian Digestive Health Foundation says Scheer’s comments were not backed up or founded by any scientific data. The new guide, released in January, encourages people to eat vegetables, fruits, whole grains and protein foods.
