Sask. Agriculture Releases Crop Report

Crop conditions across Saskatchewan variable with the majority of crops in fair to good condition.

Saskatchewan Agriculture crop specialist Cory Jacob says some crops are one-to-two weeks behind in development and this may be of concern depending on the weather at harvest time and when the first fall frost occurs.

Jacob says with the recent warm weather, some early seeded and winter cereals crops are beginning to ripen, and desiccating pulse crops and harvest operations will be starting in the coming weeks across the province.
