Harvest Operations Begin in Eastern Manitoba

Harvest is underway in some parts of Manitoba.

Winter wheat is being harvested in the eastern and Interlake regions, with early yield reports averaging 70 bushels an acre.
Some early seeded spring wheat has also been harvested in the Interlake region with yields of 50 to 55 bushels an acre.

Manitoba Agriculture’s Dane Froese says harvest in western Manitoba should be starting soon.
