Jail For A Manitoba Man Convicted Of Murder

A MacGregor, Manitoba man has been sentenced to life in prison, with no chance of parole for 13 years for the death of another man from that community five years ago. Last October, 59-year-old Martin Sutherland was found guilty of Second Degree Murder in connection with the May 2014 death of 96-year-old Niels “Arne” Nielsen, at his MacGregor home. He was sentenced Wednesday, in Portage Court of Queen’s Bench. In June 2018, his co-accused, 25-year-old Jason Conway was sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for ten years after pleading guilty to Second Degree Murder.
