The Saskatchewan government has handed out almost 3 million dollars in grants to municipalities from the Saskatchewan Liquor and Gaming Authority’s charitable gaming grant program this quarter.

   In our region, Melville groups got 13 thousand dollars, Yorkton 38 thousand, Kamsack 21 hundred, and Preeceville 25 hundred.

   Licensed bingos, raffles, break open ticket sales, Texas Hold’em poker events and Monte Carlo events are among the charitable gaming activities eligible to receive a grant.
