RCMP are at the scene of a serious multi-vehicle collision on Highway 16, 8 kilometres west of Springside.

The highway is completely closed and Mounties are telling drivers to stay away from the area and instead use highways 10 and 47 as alternate routes.

Police say at around 8 p.m. this evening (Thurs) a semi, pickup and a van were involved in a collision, resulting in serious injuries.
