A call to a home on the Fishing Lake First Nation yesterday (Tues) afternoon resulted in the death of an adult male.
Two Wadena RCMP members responded to a report of a man – armed with a knife – causing a disturbance.
Shortly after arriving, one of the officers allegedly shot the man.
Despite first aid efforts, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene
An external investigation has been requested by the RCMP.
While the RCMP were not going to release the victim’s name, the family has identified him as Lucien Silverquill.
