People around Lumsden got a bit of a scare yesterday when a severe thunderstorm resulted in a tornado warning and a large funnel cloud in the area, but it didn’t touch down. The storm passed about 15 kilometers northeast of Regina before the warning was downgraded. A forecaster at Environment Canada says such weather is not uncommon for early September.
