The Salvation Army Food Bank and Yorkton Fire Protective Services did their part to “extinguish hunger” in the Parkland, with two food drives, held at local supermarkets on Thursday (29th) and Saturday (31st).
Salvation Army Lieutenant Samuel Tim says the public stepped up to fill the fire trucks, with 25-hundred pounds of non-perishable food items – a response he calls “amazing.”
One-thousand dollars in cash donations was also collected, raised, in part, by barbecues held during each event.
