Ottawa Moves To Combat Human Trafficking

The federal government is investing 75 million dollars to fight human trafficking across Canada. The funding includes a previously announced 14 and a half million dollars to create a Canadian Human Trafficking Hotline, and a now-further five year commitment of over 57 million dollars over five years to develop a new strategy on combating human trafficking. They’ve also appointed a special advisor to combat human trafficking cases across Canada.
