Kamsack Teen Sentenced for Role in Yorkton Armed Robbery

A 17-year-old boy, who admitted to his role in an armed robbery in Yorkton last summer, has avoided jail time.
In Kamsack Provincial Court today (Tue), the boy, who can’t be named due to his age, was sentenced to six months of deferred custody, to be followed by one year of probation
In August of last year, two males wearing masks entered the downtown 7/11 in Yorkton.
The boy held a firearm, while 20-year-old Jesse Favel stole a small amount of cash, and 50 packs of cigarettes.
In May, Favel was sentenced to 3 years in prison, but received credit for 90 days already served.
