Manitoba’s Progressive Conservatives have swept to a second straight majority,winning 36 of the 57 seats in the legislature. The NDP under Wab Kinew won 18 seats, the Liberals under Dougald Lamont 3, meaning they lose official party status. In our area, Rick Wowchuk won for the Tories in Swan River, Riding Mountain went to Greg Nesbitt, Brad Michaleski won in Dauphin, the NDP’s Amanda Lathlin won in The Pas.
