The federal election campaign is underway. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau visited Ottawa’s Rideau Hall this morning to ask Governor General Julie Payette to dissolve the 42nd Parliament. The move officially launched a 40-day campaign leading up to the planned October 21st election, though all parties have been unofficially campaigning for weeks with announcements, ads and attacks on each other. Recent polls put the Liberals and Conservatives in a dead-heat, with 35% support for each party.
