20 year old Des Moines, Iowa product Trevor Schroder scored the game winner 3:16 into overtime to lead the Swan Valley Stampeders to a 2-1 preseason victory over the OCN Blizzard on Wednesday night.
Ethan Hersant also scored for the Stamps who got 25 stops from Carson Close in the win.
Wes Dobbin had the only marker for the hometown Blizzard.
The Stampeders will wrap up their exhibition schedule on Friday night when the two teams meet once again, this time at the Centennial Arena in Swan River with a puck drop of 7:30PM MB time

Maulers’ stay perfect in SMAAAHL preseason after home victory over Hounds
The Yorkton SeCon Maulers improved their preseason record to 3-0 after a 3-0 victory over the Notre Dame Hounds at the Farrell Agencies Arena last night (Wed).
Hunter Weber, Anthony Roebuck and Blake Duquette each had a goal and an assist to lead the way offensively while returning net-minder Kael DePape had to make only 13 stops for the shutout in the Mauler goal.
The Maulers will continue their preseason on Saturday afternoon in Wilcox at 2PM when they battle Hounds once again.
