The Manitoba legislature will be back in session, albeit for only 2 weeks, after the September 10th election. Premier Brian Pallister says there will be a short throne speech will lay out his majority Conservative government’s priorities for the abbreviated, two-week sitting. Pallister says the main focus is to get the budget, introduced last spring, passed before the legislature rises again October 11th. The Conservatives won a majority with 36 seats, the NDP got 18, and the Liberals 3.
