After receiving a serious threat this (Mon) afternoon, the Swan Valley School Division say they are closing the Swan Valley Secondary School and all associated buildings for tomorrow. (Oct 8th)

An anonymous email was sent to the SVRSS, which stated would cause harm to students and staff at the school.

The school was held under hold and secure for some time during the afternoon, but there was no danger to staff or students at any time.

The school division closed the school to allow for the RCMP to continue their investigation.

All schools in the division, the division office and bus garage will all be closed tomorrow (Tues).

If you have tips or information that can assist the RCMP in their investigation, you’re asked to contact the Swan River RCMP.

The school division is communicating frequently with the RCMP, and will provide a further update when it does become available.
