The Yorkton Fire Protective Services is celebrating Fire Prevention Week.
Deputy Fire Chief Harry Wilkins says the theme this year is similar to last year’s.
Wilkins says they want to highlight the importance of knowing two ways out of a room, in the event of a fire, whether that be in the workplace, at school or at home.
To mark the ocassion, the fire department held a pancake breakfast and open house at their HQ this morning (Wed) and each platoon is going to different schools to practice fire drills.
