The ribbon was cut to mark the grand opening of the Yorkton Tribal Council’s new building, the former Fairview Education Centre on King Street.
YTC Tribal Chief Isabell O’Soup says they were initially looking for a place to gather people for celebrations and other events.
Yorkton Tribal Council offers a variety of programs and services for First Nations communities in the Yorkton area.
Several First Nations Chiefs, Yorkton Mayor Bob Maloney and the Yorkton Chamber of Commerce also attended the grand opening.
