SaskPower to Launch Revamped Net Metering Program November 1st

An updated version of SaskPower’s Net Metering Program will be accepting new applications November 1st.
This follows a review done on the program after it had reached the 16-megawatt cap two years earlier than expected.
The Net Metering Program allows customers to generate up to 100 kilowatts of their own power to decrease their monthly power bills and get credit for the excess power they generate.
Customers in the previous program will be grandfathered in, as long as there are no changes to their projects.
Changes include no cap, no program end date and no contract term, however there is no longer a rebate on capital equipment and installations.
