Judge Reserves Her Decision on Man Arrested Following Weapons Seizure in Yorkton

One of two men arrested following a weapons seizure in Yorkton, has appeared in court again.
28-year-old Dustin Venne was in Yorkton today (Wed) for his trial, and the judge reserved her decision on whether he was the victim of an illegal arrest, search, and seizure, until October 28th.
His co-accused, 27-year-old Kristopher McLellan, was sentenced to jail time in June.
On May 6th, the RCMP Crime Reduction Unit conducted a street check on two males, and seized two concealed knives, as well as a loaded sawed-off .22 calibre rifle.
