The 2019 WHL Cup will kick-off today (Wed) and run through Sunday in Calgary, Alberta with some local flavour involved.
Team Saskatchewan will feature Canora’s Carter Dereniwsky and a pair prospects from our local SJHL teams in Yorkton Terrier prospects Kyren Gronick & Vaughn Watterodt and Jakin Lawrence is property of the Melville Millionaires.
Meanwhile on the Manitoba side it includes Russell prospects Tyson Zimmer & Ryder Thompson as well as Strathclair’s Conor Geekie.
Also included on the Manitoba squad is Waywayseecappo Wolverine prospects Luke Robson and Miguel Bouvier and Swan Valley Stampeder draft picks Owen Harris & Keefe Gruener.
The event features the highest-rated players in the under-16 age category from the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan
