More than 14 hundred tickets were handed to motorists caught speeding in school zones in Saskatchewan last month, which was SGI’s traffic safety focus for September.
In addition to the speeding infractions, 13 people were ticketed for failing to yield to pedestrians, and 4 for passing a school bus with safety lights operating.
More than 64 hundred tickets were handed out for speeding and aggressive driving, 900 for distracted drivers, which is October’s safety focus, 515 for seatbelt infractions and 286 for impaired driving.
Distracted driving is this month’s traffic safety focus.
