Sentencing has been handed down to two parents from Manitoba’s Parkland Region, who admitted to sexually abusing two of their daughters who were under the age of 10. The names of the parents and where they are from can’t be made public, in order to protect the identities of the children. RCMP started their investigation in August of 2014, and the couple finally pled guilty to Sexual Assault and Making Child Pornography, in May of last year. In Dauphin Court yesterday, the 42-year-old man was sentenced to 17 years in prison, but due to time served in custody, he has just over 9 years left. The 28-year-old woman got 14 years in prison, but received credit for 3 months of time already served.
