Alleged Yorkton Drug Trafficker Appears in Court for First Time

A Yorkton man arrested following a huge drug bust in the city, has made his first court appearance.
On Tuesday afternoon, police executed a search warrant at a home, and seized 155 grams of cocaine and crack cocaine, with an estimated street value of 16-thousand dollars.
29-year-old Jesse Melnyk is charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, and Theft.
In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Thu) morning, he was remanded in custody for a bail hearing next Tuesday.
