A recent Proof Incorporated survey shows Western Canadians have severe doubt in the fairness of the Canadian electoral system. C-E-O Bruce MacLellan says the results indicate only a third of westerners feel the system reflects the will of the voters and less than 30-percent trust public institutions. MacLellan feels the rapidly declining level of trust is a reaction to federal government legislation stifling the construction of pipelines and other major projects, and shows westerners are also tired of the attack style politics that dominated the campaign.
