Manitoba’s Independent Investigation Unit has concluded its probe into injuries sustained by a man, during a police pursuit east of Swan River.

It has determined no charges should be laid against any officers involved in the chase.

In August of last year, Mounties were advised to be on the lookout for a vehicle being driven by a 26-year-old suspect, who had made threats against a woman and may have been armed.

Swan River RCMP located the vehicle near Camperville, and a high-speed pursuit ensued.

During the course of the chase, the suspect vehicle crashed into the ditch, and the driver suffered a chest fracture.
