The president of SARM is asking Prime Minister Trudeau to reach out and consult with rural municipalities on economic and unity issues.
Ray Orb says rural Saskatchewan is a major economic engine and must be included in future discussion on the economy and western unity.
He says a difficult harvest and a depressed oil patch shows a need for talks with Ottawa.
Orb says revenue sharing, the carbon tax and oil pipeline development are all issues which need more rural input.
