Maclean’s magazine’s annual list of Canada’s most dangerous places is out, and Yorkton is ranked 15th in the country.
They say Yorkton has a crime severity index of 151, a Statistics Canada measure of all police-reported crime, which takes into consideration both the volume and seriousness of offences.
Other Saskatchewan cities on the list, include North Battleford at 2nd, and Prince Albert in 4th.
As for Manitoba, Thompson has the dubious distinction of topping the list, while Portage la Prairie came in 3rd.
