Yorkton is ranked as the 15th most dangerous place in Canada, according to Maclean’s magazine.

Mayor Bob Maloney says if the Stats Canada crime severity index is based on per-capita reporting, the numbers may be a little misleading.

The mayor isn’t shrugging off the report, saying he plans on talking to the RCMP about the article, and if there are trends they should be keeping an eye on.
