A con artist wasn’t able to fool an individual over the phone.

The individual reported a fraudulent phone call to the Wadena RCMP, describing other people talking in the background, somewhat like a call centre.

The person also knew that the Canada Revenue Agency doesn’t call people directly and immediately suspected it was a scam.

 RCMP remind everyone to be vigilant and not provide any personal or banking information to strangers.
