An Emergency Alert System Test Is Today

The National Public Alert system is being tested today. That means loud, squawky sounding alerts will be heard on wireless devices, along with radio and T.V stations at various times depending on location. In Saskatchewan, the test will be at 1:55 this afternoon. It’s designed to warn of imminent threats or emergencies, such as floods, tornadoes, fires or Amber Alerts. Nunavut is not included in today’s test.
