Yorkton Home Invasion Suspect is Denied a Court-Appointed Lawyer

A Little Bone First Nation man accused of taking the lead role in a violent home invasion in Yorkton, has appeared in court again.
34-year-old Louie Peepeetch was in Yorkton today (Wed), where he was remanded in custody for Friday, after being denied a court-appointed lawyer because Legal Aid is available to him.
On February 7th, a man allegedly kicked in a door on Ashwood Place, and was brandishing a knife.
The same suspect stole jewelry from a number of people inside.
Back on May 1st, his co-accused, 27-year-old Frankie Quewezance, admitted his guilt, and was sentenced to 2 and a half years in prison, but was given credit for time served of 99 days.
