Investigation Underway into Fatal House Fire in McCreary, Manitoba

A house fire in McCreary, Manitoba killed one and injured two others.
RCMP received a report of a house fire on 4th Avenue at 1:40 this morning (Thurs), and witnesses said there were people trapped inside.
With help from members of the Citizens on Patrol Program, a 28-year-old woman and a 3-year-old child were rescued from the burning home.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries, and the toddler also went to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
But a 5-year-old child was pronounced dead at the scene.

The RCMP, along with the Office of the Fire Commissioner, continue to investigate.
