The Melville Millionaires dropped in their 7th meeting of the season against Weyburn on Sunday night, falling 2-1 to the Red Wings on the road.
Braden Birnie and Rhett Frey got the Red Wings an early 2 goal lead before Max McPeak got the Mils on the board with a goal midway through the 3rd but that’s as close as they would get.
Joseph Young in the Wings’ goal made 37 saves on 38 shots to earn the victory while Mils’ net minder Berk Berkeliev made 26 saves in the losing cause.
The Mils will return to action on Tuesday night when they host the Melfort Mustangs in a rescheduled game from November. Puck drop will be at 7:30PM.
