Independent Investigation Underway After Suspect was Injured While Being Arrested by RCMP

Estevan police have been called in to investigate after a 34 year old man was injured while being arrested by Kamsack RCMP.
Mounties were called to a home on the Cote First Nation November 28th on a report of a woman being held in a home against her will.
The man, who was wanted on outstanding charges, escaped through a window after Mounties were let in by the woman.
After a short chase the man was arrested, but he and an officer slipped and fell on an icy surface and the suspect suffered a head injury, hence the independent investigation.
He’s recovering in hospital, and faces several charges.
