New Court Dates for Punnichy-Area Crime Spree Suspects

Two people charged, following a violent crime spree in the Punnichy area in May, were back in Regina Provincial Court yesterday (MON).
26-year-old Donnelly Nanaquetung, who faces numerous charges, including five counts of Attempted Murder, and 24-year-old Jamie Munroe, who faces 13 charges, including Assault Causing Bodily Harm, each remain in custody, with Nanaquetung to return to court on December 23rd, while Munroe will be back on January 8th.
On May 22nd, police say a man was struck by a vehicle, then shot, on the Muskowekwan First Nation.
Then, on May 23rd, an altercation on the Piapot First Nation led to one victim allegedly being struck with a machete, and the other being chased to the Muscowpetung First Nation.
