Canada’s finance ministers have wrapped up a one day meeting in Ottawa, with federal minister Bill Morneau saying provinces and territories will have to wait until the new year to learn of any changes to the fiscal stabilization program. One item Saskatchewan’s Donna Harpauer raised was the carbon tax on fuel used for grain drying, and the need for Ottawa to waive it. Manitoba’s Scott Fielding says his take-away from yesterday’s meeting of provincial, territorial and federal ministers is there’s a united front on health expenditures.
