New Court Date for High Speed Chase Suspect

A Cote First Nation man has appeared in court again on 24 charges, in connection with three police pursuits.
On November 2nd, Foam Lake RCMP responded to a motor vehicle collision, in which one driver fled the scene, leaving behind the vehicle, which was confirmed to be stolen from Canora.
The suspect then took off on foot, stole a truck from a residence, headed towards Yorkton on Highway 16, and continued on to Fort Qu’Appelle, where he ran again, after hitting a stop sign.
Mounties eventually arrested the man after a lengthy standoff.
26-year-old Tyler Severight was in Yorkton Provincial Court this (Wed) morning, where he was remanded in custody for January 30th.
