Dealing With Holiday Stress

For some, it’s a magical time of year with the sparkling lights and the spirit of goodwill, but not for everyone. The holiday season may only amplify the feelings of loneliness and depression for some people. Michelle Buglas with the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Mental Health and Addiction Services suggests if you know someone who may be going through something, whether it’s the loss of a loved one or pressures of the season, reach out to them and offer your support. Buglas advises to stick to your budget and learn to say no if you don’t have the time to do everything, and reach out if you feel lonely or isolated.
