The first bylaw of the new year adopted by Yorkton City Council involves the city cemetery . With the induction of the new bylaw, fees for perpetual care of the cemetery will increase by 3% starting today. Council last night also handed out the Civic Recognition Awards.  Mark Schendel won in the adult category, Connor Watrych with the youth category and the Soup Haven Lunch Program in the group category.
