Unifor’s National President Arrested In Regina

The national president of the union representing workers at the Co-Op refinery who have been locked out since December 5 has been arrested by Regina police. Unifor’s Jerry Dias was arrested yesterday after Regina police tried to enforce an injunction calling for no truckers to have their ability to get in and out of the refinery challenged. Earlier in the day, Dias had said no one would be allowed inside the facility while those who wished to leave could do so knowing they would not get back in.
