Two Abernethy residents arrested following a weekend incident, in which they allegedly assaulted police officers, have been granted bail.
Around 3 a.m. on Sunday (19th), RCMP were called to an Abernethy home, to deal with a domestic dispute, and when Mounties tried to arrest the man, both suspects became aggressive, allegedly assaulting the officers.
A taser was used on the woman, to no effect, and the man tried to grab it from the officer.
The arrests were made after additional officers were called to the scene.
25-year-old Brandon Poorman and 20-year-old Marlee Quewezance each face numerous charges, and will appear in Fort Qu’Appelle Court again on February 13th.
