It’s jail time for a Yorkton man, who led Mounties on a high speed chase through the streets of Canora.

In Yorkton Provincial Court this (Wed) morning, 19-year-old Austin Young plead guilty to a number of charges, including flight from police, and was sentenced to four months behind bars.

Court was told that on January 10th, Young was spotted driving a stolen vehicle in Canora, and police tried to pull him over.

He refused to stop, and the chase reached speeds of 100 kilometres per hour at times, before he was finally taken into custody.
