Alcohol Does NOT Appear to be a Factor in a Fatal Collision Between Snowmobile, Semi-Trailer: Swan River RCMP

Swan River RCMP responded to a fatal collision involving a snowmobile and a semi-trailer yesterday afternoon (Wed).
The driver of the snowmobile, a 16-year-old male from the RM of Minitonas-Bowsman, was pronounced dead at the scene; the other rider, a 17-year-old male, was not involved in the collision and the driver of the semi, a 32-year-old man from the RM of Swan Valley West, was not hurt.
RCMP say the two riders were going north on a logging road in Duck Mountain Provincial Park when the teenager collided with the southbound semi-trailer.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor but Mounties continue to investigate.
