A Balcarres girl with a rare blood disease was recently named the 2020 Champion Child for the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital Foundation.

13 year old Torrie Schaffer says it’s an opportunity to share her story with people across North America.

She paid a visit to Walmart in Yorkton this (Thu) morning.

Schaffer will also be the 2020 Saskatchewan Ambassador for the Children’s Miracle Network Champions Program and will be the face of fundraising events and radiothons throughout the year.
